Developer Experience
I believe good developer experience starts with making things simple.
When I build products for developers, I focus on three things:
1. Documentation
Good docs save time.
They should be easy to find, easy to understand, and useful in real projects.
- Keep it simple
- Show real examples
- Explain the important parts
- Keep it up to date
If developers keep asking the same question, the docs need to be better.
2. Community
Good products are built with their users.
Talk to developers. Listen to their problems. Read their feedback.
Bugs, questions, and feature requests are all useful signals. They help you understand what needs to improve.
The goal is simple: make developers feel heard.
3. Education
Show people what they can build.
A good example can be more useful than a long explanation. Build demos, write guides, and share real use cases.
If you explain something more than once, write it down.
What I believe
Developer experience is part of the product.
Good APIs matter. Good documentation matters. Good examples matter.
And listening to developers matters most.
